Prince “Welcome 2 America” Tour Kicks Off In December

Purple Rain meets Red December as music icon prepares to head out on a new concert just in time for the holidays!

Prince has unveiled plans for “a series of events” he’s dubbed “The Welcome 2 America Tour.” The “Do Me Baby” crooner is expected to perform with his legendary band, The New Power Generation, and serve as Master of Ceremonies.
“We’re here today in New York to announce a series of events that will begin on a purple day in December in the year 2010,” Prince said during a press conference held at Harlem’s famed Apollo Theater Thursday.
The shows will feature a full roster of funk, R&B and jazz artists, including Maceo Parker, Janelle Monae, Mint Condition, Esperanza Spalding, Lalah Hathaway, Sheila E, Cassandra Wilson, and Graham Central Station.
“Welcome 2 America’s best described as ‘what we’ve all been waiting for.’ I will serve as master of ceremonies for multiple nights of entertainment that will feature some of the best artists this country has to offer,” the pint-sized pop legend told potential concertgoers.
“Bring friends, bring your children, and bring foot spray because it’s gonna be funky,” Prince promised with a devilish grin.
An accomplished guitarist, Prince plans to auction off a gold-plated guitar, which was displayed adjacent to the singer during today’s presser. All proceeds from the sale of the instrument will benefit the Harlem Children Zone, a non-profit organization featured prominently in the education reform documentary Waiting for Superman.
Anyone looking forward to Prince’s tour?

Taylor Momsen Shares Her Expertise On Porn, Masturbation, & Heidi Montag

In today’s edition of a little segment we like to call “Where The Phuck Are Your Parents?!,” punk pop baddie Taylor Momsen shares a few morsels of wisdom on age-appropriate subject matter — including celebrity fuck flicks, diddling herself, and Heidi Montag.
(Not necessarily in that order…)
The verbal vomit begins after the jump…

Taylor Momsen On Celebrity Sex Tapes (After all, she’s about three years from appearing in one!): “I have a couple favorites. But I will say this: That Tommy Lee/Pamela Anderson video wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t f*** Tommy Lee,” quips the 17-year-old, who appears on the cover of Revolver Magazine clad in a black lacey bikini with thigh-high stockings and a gun belt.
(Paging Child Protective Services…)
On Masturbation: “Guys can masturbate. So why can’t girls? Why is that such a hidden topic from the world?”
On Writing A Song For Another Blonde Tart (Sorta): “I wrote a pop song [called ‘Blackout’ when I was 8] and recorded it with a producer as a demo. Heidi Montag from ‘The Hills’ just recently sang it and put it out as her single [laughs]. I’m like, OK, dude, you’re singing an 8-year-old’s words, but that’s cool. It’s so funny because I didn’t shop it or anything and I get this call going, ‘Did you write a song for Heidi Montag?’ and I’m like ‘What?’’’
When will this girl’s “people” develop the good sense that God gave a billy goat and get this chile equipped with a muzzle? Priorities, people!

Colin Farrell & Baby Mama Alicia Bachleda-Curus Split

Look out ladies, Colin Farrell is back on the market. On the tale end of a week that has not been kind to Celebrity Love comes the news that the notorious ladies man has split from Polish star Alicja Bachleda-Curus, the mother of his 12-month old son, after a tumultuous two-year relationship.

Tattles-In-The-Know say Farrell’s unability to commit was the determining factor in Alicia’s decision to kick Colin to the curb. After all, we’re talking about a dude who once admitted that he much preferred partying himself into a drunken stupor than caring for his family.
“There were times when I was with my son and I was wondering how long I would have to spend before I could go off and get pissed.”
What a catch!
“She realized that Colin is never going to marry her. He cares for Alicja and the baby but he wants to be a free spirit,” one blab close to the breakup tells Star Magazine.
Since calling it quits with Alicja, Colin — who also has seven-year-old son James with model Kim Bordenave — has been spotted partying in The Big Apple with British supermodel Agyness Deyn.

Russell Brand Katy Perry Co-Stars In “The Money Pit” Remake?

The couple that works together, stays together. (Until, of course, one of them cheats…)
Soon-to-be spouses Russell Brand and Katy Perry aren’t set to wed until later this year, but the twosome are already reportedly eyeing their first project together as man and wife: Co-stars in a remake of the ’80s comedy The Money Pit.

The Snitch Circuit is abuzz with reports that the couple are in chats to accept the lead roles in a reimagining of the 1986 comedy, which starred Tom Hanks and Shelley Long as newlyweds lumbered with a house from hell.
“Russ is a big fan of ’80s comedy movies and loves the idea of updating The Money Pit,” squeals an unidentified insider with access to Brand and Katy. “The idea was originally to cast a big name actress for the female lead but the idea of having Katy in the movie might just work. She’s very keen on starting an acting career.”
It’s shaping up to be a busy 2011 for the new Mr. & Mrs. Brand, while Russell remains busy filming scenes for the upcoming remake of Dudley Moore’s comedy classic, Arthur, Katy will embark on her “California Dream Tour” next spring.
